Titus 1:10-16 Rebellious Men

This week we will finish chapter 1. Last week we looked at the role of overseer. This week we will be looking at rebellious men. 

Observation:
  • Read Titus 1
  • Read Titus 1:10-16. mark every reference to rebellious men and write down in your journal everything you learn. 
  • Ask yourself these questions about the passage and write down the answers in your journal:
    • How are the rebellious men described in verse 10?
    • What are they doing and what does Paul say must happen to them?
    • What contrast do you see in verse 15? What is said about each in the contrast? 
    • What do they profess and how is that compared to how they live their lives?

Interpretation:
Look up the following words using Blue Letter Bible and write down what you learn about each word in your journal

  • sound

  • paying attention
  • myths
  • pure
  • defiled
  • deeds

  • detestable
  • disobedient

Look up the following passages and write down what you learn about rebellious and ungodly men:
  • 1 Timothy 1:3-7
  • 2 Timothy 2:16-18
  • Jude 3-4
  • 2 Peter 2:1-3
